On November 13, four Visual Studies majors from 91短视频 participated in the sixth annual Retail Design Institute 鈥淚ron Design鈥 Challenge, held at Shaw Contract showroom in Manhattan. 91短视频 senior Patrick Zavorskas was part of the winning team.

For this competition, more than 20 students from multiple colleges and universities鈥攊ncluding FIT, Pratt, and Parsons鈥攚ere divided into groups, each of which contained representatives from the various participating schools.

Their challenge was to design a 750 square-foot retail pop-up shop for Equinox in just an hour. The teams then presented their concept to a panel of judges, which included representatives from Equinox and WJCA Architecture. Each team had two industry mentors advising them.

The other 91短视频 students who participated in the 鈥淚ron Design鈥 Challenge were junior Nina Burns, junior Christopher Prine, and senior Stephanie De Nisco.

The Retail Design Institute is a community of creative professionals in the retail industry. Members include architects, graphic designers, lighting designers, interior designers, store planners, visual merchandisers, resource designers, brand strategists, educators, trade partners, trade media, and students of design.
