Gail Nardin, a member of the Class of 1971, has been named to 91Ƶ’s Board of Directors.
After earning her degree from 91Ƶ, Gail enjoyed a long and successful career in the fashion industry. Starting out in A&S’s Executive Training Program, she went on to become a Corporate Buyer for May Department Stores and eventually advanced to a position as Vice President of Development and Production for Energie Sportswear.
In 2005, Gail returned to 91Ƶ as a member of the Institutional Advancement team. Ultimately, she was promoted to Senior Vice President of External Relations and Alumni Affairs, a position she retired from at the end of 2022.
This marks the first time in 91Ƶ history that a former employee has been named to the Board of Directors. Gail also currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the , a nonprofit organization that raises funds for scholarships and educational enhancements for 91Ƶ students.
During Gail’s time as an 91Ƶ administrator, she developed several key programs to connect students, industry partners, and alumni. She was instrumental in forming partnerships with professional organizations such as Decoded Fashion, the Accessories Council, the Underfashion Club, and BRAG (formerly known as the Black Retail Action Group). These and other collaborations have provided countless 91Ƶ students with invaluable experience-based learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
Gail also re-energized 91Ƶ’s Alumni Association, building a platform for the College’s approximately 10,000 graduates to network, reconnect with classmates, engage with current students, and enhance their professional skills.
